The town has two non league football clubs namely Ilford F. C and Waltham Forest F. C. The town also has a cricket club by the name of Ilford Cricket club. The football clubs practice at the Cricklefield Stadium while the cricket club practices at the Valentines Park.
Ilford is also a culturally rich town. The town has the famous the Kenneth More Theatre and the JKB Designs Art Gallery. These two draw a huge number of visitors to the town. The local newspaper which covers the town is known as the Ilford recorder.
