Walsall is a large industrial town in the county of Walsall. Coal mining and the metal working industries were the dominant industries in the town. However the coal mining industry in the town declined and was replaced by a leather industry. The town manufactures the handbags for the Queen, saddles required by the Royal family and also the leather goods for the Prince of Wales. The town is the home of the traditional saddle making industry. Hence the football club of this town has been given the name of the Saddlers.
