Peterboough is a Cathedral city which falls under the county of Cambridgeshire. This is the largest city in this county and the twenty seventh largest in the country of United Kingdom. The city stands on the River Nene. Agriculture, industry and services are the three sectors in which the maximum people in this city works. The development of economy in this city is more compared to other parts of the country. This is due to the regeneration plan undertaken by the British authorities.

The huge number of landmarks spread throughout the city ensures a steady flow of visitors throughout the year. Peterborough art and museum gallery, Burghley house, the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter, Saint Paul and Saint Andrew, Longthorpe Tower, Flag Fen are some of the landmarks which can be found in this city.

The city does not have a University of its own. Longhborough University closed its campus in 2003 and since then the city do not have University facilities for the students. Peterborough High School, the Voyager school, Peterborough Regional College, City College Peterborough help the students to fulfill the primary and the secondary education. For higher education however they will have to go to the other parts of the country.
