Victorian properties have long been a favourite among house hunters in the UK because of their old-worldy charm. Despite their age, many Victorian houses are still in a great condition today, and the workmanship that went into their construction is in many cases still very much intact.
The Victorian era was the perhaps the most significant period in British history for housing regulations, and for that reason many features such as the drainage and the window size compare favorably with other period properties from an earlier time. Unlike properties from previous periods, many working class Victorian houses survive to this day in good condition and because of their ´period´status are
often highly prized assets inhabited by urban elites.
